Every year Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated in India as a National festival on 2nd October. Gandhi Jayanti is also celebrated as the Inter- National Day of Non-Violence all over the world, declared by the United Nations General Assembly on 15th June 2007. The purpose is to spread Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy, his teachings of non-violence and peace all over the world. Aspire International School Khasarmari, Nagpur celebrated Gandhi Jayanti through virtual platform with great patriotic zeal to make students understand the true essence of the National Festival and to remember ‘Father of the Nation’ or ‘Bapu’. Students were encouraged to perform various activities like poetry recitation, speech rendition, mono act, slogan writing, dance performances based on life and work of Mahatma Gandhi. Students explored their creative minds with lots of enthusiasm.
