Mr. Chetan Mehrotra
Chetan Mehrotra is a Commerce graduate from Mumbai University. As the Executive Trustee of Sar-La Education Trust he has been actively involved for the last 20 years in setting up and managing educational and vocational institutions. He is a Member of the Managing Committee of Lalji Mehrotra Lions School in Ahmedabad; Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Science Faculty in Allahabad and Lalji Mehrotra Technical Institute in Mumbai.
As a philanthropist, he is passionate about improving the quality of education and healthcare through the projects of two Family Trusts – Sar-La Education Trust and Radha Mohan Mehrotra Medical Relief Trust. Through these Trusts the lives of many bright, but under-privileged, students have undergone a remarkable change.
Chetan is a successful entrepreneur and has extensively travelled overseas during the last 30 years. His experience and management expertise is valuable as a Member of the Governing Council of Aspire International School.
Mr. Bharat Tandon
Bharat Tandon’s educational and professional journey makes him the ideal Trustee to guide Aspire International School. He studied in the illustrious Mayo College, during the headmastership of JTM Gibson – one of finest ‘legends’ of school education. He then studied Science in St. Stephen’s College – an institution with considerable history and tradition, and a culture of excellence, free-thinking and intellectual debate. He is a Post Graduate in Management from FMS Delhi University with a specialization in Marketing and Organization Development.
He has worked for Astra-Zeneca in various roles, both technical and commercial and is the progenitor of ‘Vetcare’ (now a part of Cargill – a Fortune 500 Company) which became one of India’s largest animal health and Nutrition Company. He is currently involved in a ‘start-up’ working with sericulture farmers, developing value-added products based on silk as a bio-material.
Mr. Rajesh R. Mehta
Rajesh R. Mehta is the Director & CEO of the India Subsidiary of C&C Alpha Group UK since 2005, and is responsible for monitoring the investments of the Group in India, whose activities are in several sectors including Real Estate, Hospitality and Retail. His rich and diverse management experience will be invaluable to the Aspire International School Board.
He is an MBA with specialization in Strategy and MIS has had a 29 year long career starting with Rustom Mills in 1982. He then worked with Rohit Mills as Joint Managing Director before taking over the marketing and operations of Eureka Industries Limited in 1992 as Managing Director. He was Vice Chairman of Rampion Eyetech, responsible for drawing growth strategies and marketing policies for the company. Additionally, he was on the National Committee of AIMA and FICCI for several years, a past President of Ahmedabad Management Association, member of the IIM Ahmedabad Society, besides being involved in a number of philanthropic activities.
Captain Unni Gopala Krishnan
The efforts of manifesting the vision of a premier International School, which offers affordable education, are being spearheaded by Capt. Unni Krishnan, who brings his 15 years experience of setting up and successfully running International schools in Bangalore. He was instrumental in conceiving and setting up Indus International School and Primus Public school in Bangalore, as the Founder Trustee of these institutions. A Post Graduate in Management, the Captain is an Alumnus of the prestigious ‘Officers Training Academy’, Chennai and winner of the ‘Sword of Honor’, 2 Gold and 1 Silver Medal.
Captain Unni’s core skills lie in a whole range of activities essential to the setting up of the schools – including identifying and purchasing land, procuring Government sanctions, project and financial management. His unparalleled success can be attributed to his hands-on approach, self discipline, eye for detail and the ability to provide practical solutions to complex problems.
Air Cmde D D Mandpe
Air Cmde D D Mandpe was commissioned in the Indian Air Force in 1975 as a helicopter pilot. He was one of the most experienced helicopter pilots in the IAF and has served extensively in the Northern and Eastern sectors of India. He has flown over 6000 hours.
He commanded Number 114 Helicopter Unit at Leh which operated in support of the Siachen Glacier. For his exceptional service in this battlefield he was awarded the Yudh Seva Medal by the President in 1995.
He graduated from the National Defence Academy in 1973. During his service career he was a qualified flying instructor and was teaching at the Elementary Flying School and Helicopter Training School. He is a graduate from the Defence Services Staff College at Wellington and the prestigious National Defence College, New Delhi.
Highlights of his service career include a tenure as teaching staff at College of Air Warfare, Secunderabad, command of frontline airbases at Silchar and Ghaziabad. His last assignment before retirement was as the Chief Liaison Officer between the Army and Air force for operations in the Eastern theatre.
He was Commandant of Bhonsala Military School, Nagpur, for three years from August 2010 till July 2013. Since January 2016 he is serving as the Director at Aspire International School.
Masters in Science with specialization in Physics, has done Bachelors in Education from Nagpur University. Having more than 15 years of experience in knowledge imparting and institutional administration.
She has received special appreciation from Ministry of HRD, Government of India at the hands of Mrs. Smruti Irani for her contribution towards her students’ performance in CBSE Board Examination.
A recipient of Nachiketa Award at Principal’s Education Conference in 2012 for giving creative ideas for the holistic development of the child. Her positive attitude and the willingness to work independently while collaborating as production team member has resulted in nomination on various assignments of academic importance. She continues to guide her students and counsel her teachers for better performance in every aspect, strengthening the care for institutional development.
